The Trip: Childhood: That feeling at dusk

Let’s take the ball and go home,

Leave the trees, the green grass alone,

The ball of fire has set,

Our daytime goals have been met.

 

The moon will soon be out,

It is used to seeing empty parks,

The sky will soon be covered with stars,

Matching the lights of the highway cars

 

Let’s scurry to our beds and not wonder,

What transpires after we’ve all gone asunder,

To our abodes, which do their best to hide,

The lifeless dusk, or so it looks like.

 

You are a child of the day,

Night for you, is behind closed eyelids,

You have to journey, to wake up,

To find light and life, after the Sun has set
