The sheer force seems unnatural,
That wants to separate me from the terra firma,
The roaring sound is harsh, brutal and loud,
The body is ready to soar, the head, fearful of the clouds.
O mother Earth, never have I loved you more,
You look so pretty from up above, even with all the dearth,
The little and big houses all look like cottages,
Havens of comfort, love, and of the Earth.
Succumbing to gravity, standing on the ground,
Makes for a much steadier viewing point in a town,
Of the azure blue sky, the zephyr, together or all alone,
Than defying gravity, sandwiched twixt the firm and the unknown.
The stewardess brings me coffee, wine & juice,
The captain tries to keep it a smooth cruise,
The eyes try to keep the head engaged with things trivial,
But it has flown too high, too long, and is anything but jovial.
The captain announces about the impending decent,
The palpitations lessen, eyes brighten, I start seeing humans
The ears await the sound of the thud on the tarmac,
The sound of my head kissing mother Earth on her forehead.
But it would not be easy, the ear fluids would be put to test,
The craft still has a few tricks up its sleeves and vest,
So thinks my head, yes, it can still do that,
And also see the height, every feet of it, with eyes shut.
