Observing A Ravenous World

What are these ugly yet lively creatures,

That croak and croak ominously,

While perched on the tree tops,

Swinging wildly in their ravenous success.

 

There seem to be many,

Each owning a tree top, one taller than the other,

Cawing wildly and shouting out loud,

Clamoring for attention, ensconced in their sable shrouds,

 

Me and many more are irritated,

We are not interested in their insignificant success,

As large and everlasting for them as it may be,

Little and annoying, is how we see.

 

From our vantage point,

We see the flimsy branches of the trees,

That hold up their small fiefdoms,

Crackling, gradually but surely, with or without them.
