Perched on the 15th floor,

Looking down upon the brightly lit town,

Through the dark curtains of solitude.

Reach the sky, no one to perturb me ,

I asked for silence, now I have it,

But can I cope with it? Weather it?

Travel inwards, the voice tells me,

But I want to cling on to the chimera,

Where I am loved, wanted,

Where time, moments, people, await me.

I have failed the test,

I belong in the unreal, with lots of love,

Solitude, reality, is not for me,

The city lights beckon me, I long for them.
